Central Texas Birth Story Photography

Birth is powerful, emotional, raw, and sacred. As a Copperas Cove birth photographer, I document the moments you never want to forget — the way your partner held you, your baby’s first cry, that weird face you made when your nurse said something unbelievable, the femininity in your strength, that big ugly (but actually so beautiful) cry you cried when you were overwhelmed with joy finally meeting your sweet baby. All of it is worth preserving, like your granny's peaches.

No matter where you birth, at home, at a birth center or in the hospital, I'm like a fly on the wall. Sometimes literally climbing walls to get out of the way or to get the perfect shot. But I'm also like a ninja, you won't even know I'm there!

Families across Copperas Cove, Killeen, Fort Hood, Belton, Temple, Georgetown, and surrounding Central Texas areas choose me because they want images that feel real, emotional, and divine — not posed or performative. I'll be the only one posing and performing (without an attentive audience of course).

Where Strength & Surrender Meet

Birth asks everything of you. It's so much more than "OUCH... and pop! A baby!" You will feel all the feels, emotionally and physically. You will reach the 'valley of the shadow of death' and he will be with you and  he will comfort you. There will be moments when time seems to stand still, and others that pass in a blur. You may even have a moment of "what the heck just happened?" In the midst of all that—through exhaustion, support, pain, anticipation, and finally meeting your baby—there is something deeply sacred worth remembering.

What to Expect From Your Birth Story Session

Birth is incredibly intimate, so it's understandable to be a little hesitant to have yours documented. HOWEVER, we talk about ALL the things beforehand! I meet with my clients once if not twice before their birth so that we can build a relationship and it becomes a lot less weird when I'm in close quarters with you and possibly will see your nether regions.

If don't want me anywhere near your nether regions, I will stand back behind you so I can't see them and won't take pictures of them. Alternatively, if you want me to get right up in there and take pictures of babies head emerging I will absolutely do that! I will always follow your lead and do what you want me to do. I will not do anything that makes you feel uncomfortable.

I'll stay at your birth as long as I need to. You are not an inconvenience by giving birth in the middle of the night or by having a long birth. I'm here for it!

After your birth, I'll be so excited to share your pictures with you that I'll send you a few of my favorites within 24 hours. Then in 4-6 weeks you will get the rest! You'll get a minimum of 50 edited images and at most like 150. I really like birth, ok?

Birth Photography is Unique

We don't have a planned session time with the perfect natural light. But that's also what makes birth photos so beautiful. You can play with the light you do have, bounce a flash when it's completely dark, and get cool bokeh when you use twinkle lights!

I also don't have the ability to re-take a photo that didn't turn out as imagined. Girl, I gotta be on it or I miss it! (Don't worry, I'll be on it)

Back-up equipment, troubleshooting on the spot. It's all part of the gig and the thrill of the game. My best work is done under pressure. I was born for this!!

These photos tell a fraction of the story-- but boy howdy, you gotta read these women's stories!
